Product Application
Phosphates are often used in foods and in water treatment. The pH of such formulations is generally adjusted by mixtures of various sodium phosphates, such as this salt. The sodium chloride equivalent value, or E-Value, is 0.49. It is soluble in 4.5 parts water.

1.Feed additive


It is added in animal feed, toothpaste, and evaporated milk. It is used as a thickening agent and emulsifier.

2.Detection of magnesium
 
Monosodium phosphate is used to detect the presence of magnesium ions in salts. Formation of a white precipitate on the addition of ammonium chloride, ammonium hydroxide and monosodium phosphate to an aqueous or dilute HCl solution of the salt indicates presence of magnesium ions.
3.Food Industry
 
In food industry and fermentation industry, it can also be used as buffering agent, raw material of baking powder, adhesive and curing agent for bread and sauce, sour agent for powder, and quality improver for evaporated milk.Also can make cheese and other dairy products, meat, fish products stabilizer, binder, baking powder buffer, salting with mixed salt, etc.

4.Industrial Use
 
Sodium dihydrogen phosphate is used for boiler water treatment and electroplating.It is a raw material for the manufacture of sodium hexametaphosphate and polypolyphosphate.It is also used in the manufacture of detergents, metal detergents, and as dyes and pigment precipitators.
